corbin gunfighter solo seat was created by mjohnson7633
hi everyone,
new to site, have been riding my kz for bout 3mos now. want to change image of my bike to more of a streetbike. really like the look of the corbin and was wondering how the comfort is on a long run? also want to know if it lowers the ride height?, i can just put both feet flat on the ground and would like to be a little lower.

The solo seat has a flat seat area with sharp edges where your legs and your butt meet. It's not comfortable at all. It sits higher than the stock seat and will raise your butt up more than an inch over the stock height. There are better alternatives out there.
IMHO

I'm on my third Corbin, and they are the BEST seats money can buy ! They are flat and slightly firm, and believe it or not this is what is needed for long ride comfort ! Corbins when new also need some "break in " time then they fit your specific a$$ perfectly !

We rode two up for years on the stock seat, had it recovered and added padding which IMO made the seat worse just the opposite I thought it would. Bought a Corbin, Gunfighter and Lady model the firmness was alarming at first but (butt) I wouldn't trade it for the old seat, and I think there is a mutual wear in of the hiney and the seat. And the step between the front and rear of the seat allowed the wife to see better being an inch and a half higher than before.

Now I need to get it recovered, Corbin wants almost as much to recover as to buy a new one.

Sure it looks OK now, but wait until I really make it pretty, with some chrome and paint and some new tires and grips and the wiring. Don't forget the gearing, and the LED's and, and, and....

I love the seat. It is former than the stock seat but I like it. I'm 250lb so I think the firmness is good. However I have only rode the bike back and forth to work, 15min ride. Have no plans to make long ride anytime soon so will have hold judgement on that for now .I can say it was worth the money.

Just to clarify, does the corbin gunfighter solo sit higher or lower than the stock seat on a 1976 kz900? Is it lower than a ltd seat? Which seat sits the lowest? If I wanted to lower the seat as much as possible, which seat would be the best? Thanks.
