I'm thinking a Kz1000A1 tank, sidecovers and tail piece...about the same surface area as your 650. All surface areas would be prepped to his specs (e.g. I do all the initial sanding).

I am absolutley drooling. Now I'm being torn - should I spend $8K on a new cruiser next year or send my pristine 1978 KZ650 body parts out to get painted....decisions, decisions! :S

Looks like I'll be getting another set of parts for my bike. I have 5 different paint jobs for my bike now. What's one more.

That is a goregeous paint job!!!!

And I mean that in the most heterosexual of ways.

I like the slight hint of a skull on the top of the tank, not sure if that was intentional. Tell your buddy he found his calling.

damn -- my friend owns a shop --mostly working on Harleys' a lot of bikes in and out of there --at least $10,000 in extras on most in chrome--and paint ---- i have to say i haven't seen a flame job as nice as that looks -- --how much to paint just a tank --bare tank minimal prep ??---

To me flames either look really good or really bad. They're hard to get right I guess. That is on the really good side! You guys have me thinking now..a second set of "skins" would be cool. It would totally change the look, easily.
