I got the seat made last week, and the fender smoothed out tuesday. The rest were prepped last night, and it was painted at about 1:00am... i am thinking of some scallops in lime green, or even ome retro style racing numbers, but my mind isn't made up. Hell, I may leave it black...

Thoughts?

As good as it looks thats a tough call. Some times simple is better.. If anything, maybe something a bit retro and simple.. Very nice regardless what you decide to do.

Hey thanks! I think that the all black is growing on me... I may relace the wheels with black spokes to draw it together.
I'm not too bad with a striping brush, so I might just pull a few lines on it in silver or gold.

I'm not big on gold paint on bikes, but I have seen some Nortons with very fine gold striping on the black tank that look good. Just keep in mind a little goes a long way so it's easy to overdo it.

That is what I was thinking to a tee... I was invisioning old norton or even vincent accents.... Enfield has a tasteful gold on black combo too. I've seen guys do the kawasaki logo in the norton style, and it comes off a little too easily as a cheap knockoff if not done in the right way. I am planning to do some case and fork leg polishing before I commit, so keep the suggestions flowing.

i actually show that video to my students when I teach my custom class! I think that its pretty amazing that guys like that haven't been repaced by robotics yet...

it is a dying art here in the states it's amazing to see there are still guys out there with that much finess. I remember as a kid watching a guy in town had stripe and letter cars and bikes at the sign shop. all the bike guys had him do their stipes
