well you have asked for feedback on this so here is mine. i dont know if you bought the paint or the shop that you are having do the job has the paint but regaurdless there will be plenting of paint left over after painting the tail - side covers - front fender that going ahesd and painting the tank is no big deal its already in the gun. the art work is pretty simple so redoing it wont take long if that is what you want on it.that way you do have to worrie about it.clearcoat is pretty forgiving but why chance it. i have been in the body shop biz for 23 years and alot of painters wont do the job and just clear the tank for fear of the unknown if it lifts later its there rep. on the line.
