Brought the bike home last night. Of course its supposed to rain all day and I have no rain gear :(

I still need to clean it up quite a bit. It sat outside in a wrecker pen for about 3 months. I'll deffinatly get some more pics once there is some sun.

Excellent! That explains why you've been off here for a few days. Good job! Congrats to you and Missy (I guess the good job goes to her). More pics after cleanup, right?

Deffinatly going to get more pics after I clean it up a bit. Right now its still raining :(, so it will be a day or two.

This thing still hasn't stopped impressing me in performance! My CB750 was no comparison(and it was mechanically sound, with a 4 into 1 jetted, which could explain since I didn't do the jetting). What kinda h.p. did the 550 come from the factory with?

Thanks y'all. I am pretty pleased with the bike myself.

I can not thank you all enough for the help, and for putting up with my questions.

I thought you said this was your first time, doing bodywork??? I think you are trying to hustle us!

Looks great! Now you just need to put those flames back on it... NOT!

I wish I had the free time to play with my bike. I love seeing the before and after pictures. You did a great job of documenting progress!

That looks great! Now where do we all send our tanks to have the handlebar dents taken out? Just keep Twin Rotor away from it next time!

Do your bike a favor and invest in a good bike cover if it's going to be parked outside in the rain.

I will get right on those White Tester flames. But I am not sure if I could do as well as the last bozo that did them. That was some quality work there.

I watched it sit in the rain for about 10 minutes yesterday and couldn't stand it. So I made some room under my carport for it. Just a tight fit at this point. I've got a 9C1 Caprice taking up most of the space(which happens to be Missy's parking space too :) )

And to clearify things, she was refering to a hurried inspection fix for a huge rust hole when she was younger... So yeah, this was her first time :D

The Jimmy is next! Then she has to seal my RX7 before the oxidation demons apear. So take a number!
