Ideas needed for paint color on 78 KZ1000

Looking for color ideas for my 78 KZ1000. I was thinking a black or midnight blue or perhaps burgundy. Id appreciate any pictures of color combos you like

i think 78 was sold in red or green on the KZ1000A. LTD it doesn't matter, paint it any way you want, but if it's an A there are only 2 choices. Definately not black. Everyone knows I'm against repaint for the most part, and I learned this by looking at 6000 Z1 and KZ1000 repainted black and guess what? 6000 looked like crap. OK I'm not spoze to comment on paint, so do as you like, I'd just advise against black since 92% of all KZs are black and they all

Repeating myself, just advise to not do it.

Black was a 78 factory color and looked good with the thick gold stripes. Midnight blue or burgandy are not original colors.....but hey whatever makes you happy.:woohoo:

i like the ones that use other than stock colors in stock type graphic packages.

Wow is all I can say! That thing makes mine look like turd in a punch bowl ! I wouldnt think black & blue would look right but it sure does. My engine is painted black because it was given to me by a friend after sitting out under a shed roof in S Fla. The whole bike was nothing but powdered aluminum. It was worth having to me because in 77 it was a $4500 engine built by Superbike Mike in Ft Lauderdale Fl

Removing the steel fender under the tail section makes the bike look more modern (to me).
I'd never seen that before.

531Blackbanshee, is that blue & black or 2 shades of blue ? That is a badass looking bike, nice job on it. Whats the frontend & swingarm off of ? How about some more pictures guys ? I realise thats a tough act to follow .

I like the resto-mod look with a new "original paint job." It's very cool how Sanctuary will upgrade everything on the bike, then shoot an original paint scheme.

After my engine build (and some drag bars) my 76 will get an original paint job.
