I would likew to change my answer. I like the red now that I see it. Just try to get as close to the seat color as you can and then paint the emblems black for a little contrast.

Terry, can you tell me what program and steps you used to change his bike to Red?

i use photoshop 7.....all you do is use the lasso tool to highlight the object you want to change the color on....then press ctrl+u for the saturation, take the saturation all the way down, then press ctrl+b and that brings up a window to adjust your colors in. I just downloaded photoshop 7 off kazaa light:evil:

I also added a chin fairing I bought from ebay for $5.00 (from a honda v4 interceptor) and it fits good with 4 hose clamps.

Thanks for the compliments and advice. I love the chrome fender, but I think you all are right and with as little chrome as is on the bike, I should go with a colored fender. Just so happens that I have a fibreglass cafe fender that I will use on this bike after I can figure out how to bend it a bit...

Here is a shot of the rear (bad night picture, sorry)...

The license plate is held on with 4 blue LED lights, and the rear has matching red brake and amber turn signal LED's as well. It's hard to see, but where the oil cooler bolts on I have another set of amber LED's as well.

I love the picture with the deep red color, and will most likely paint it that color this summer. I also will remove the headlight and use twin 3 1/2" lights for a more modern look.

Anyone know of a fork brace that fits the 650's? Also, I am looking for aluminum foot pegs for driver and passenger, where can I find thoes that fit?

I added LED lights and re-designed my license plate area (probably illegal) and I painted her all in primer black until I decide what color to finish with. Mt last step will be a good cleaning and polish...

Unfortunately in most states your license plate set up is illegal. And even more unfortunately most of us will stop you for it. In Missouri at least it is illegal to have blue lights visible from the front or rear (also illegal to have red lights visible from the front).

The concern being that people might mistake it for emergency lights.

Good luck.

Rob...he is correct about the rear facing blues (your bullet lights) in Indiana as well. The plate aint exactly Kosher either. Most officers around here aren't too pushy about it but it only takes ONE guy (you know how they get over there in Porter County) to decide it's not road worthy to ruin a great weekend ya know?B) You could look for clear bullet lights for your plate because those would be legal for your license plate setup. You still have to move that plate though... Let me know if you need any more help...you bring the beer and I'll bring...well...you just bring the beer...
