How to carry registration and proof of insurance?
04 Jun 2010 01:34
Doesn't seem to be a forum where this fits, so I'll ask it here. How do you guys carry your paperwork?
I was thinking of gluing a heavy duty sandwich bag (Zip Lok type) to the inside of one of my side covers, and carrying my stuff in there. Anyone see a reason why that won't work? Thanks!

I carry mine in my wallet. I don't have to carry a licence receipt here in Kentucky. Roy

Since you don't have a tail-storage space, keep it with your manual (you mighthave a compartment on the bottom of your seat...if not, why don't you tape the ziplock there?

Seems a much safer place to keep it. Side covers blow off these old bikes all the time, would suck to lose all your papers if you lost that side cover!!!

I fit mine in a baggie into the little storage nook above my fuses.
BTW I have lost a side cover before, so don't stick it there...

I hear you there. Colorado raised our registrations between $25 and $35 per vehical last year. I have 11 registered vehicals so a big ripoff and if you let registration lapse they get you for something like $100 when it's reinstated. I carry two copies of everything, one copy in the wallet, the other under the seats in the storage compartment or in the glove compartment in the 4 wheelers.
