The clear coat is the whole secret behind modern painting. The finish must be smooth as glass, and just as shiny. This is why it is important to apply 2 to three coats minimum. This will assure that if you develop a run, Have "orange peal" or any dust particles, you can remove them without destroying all the work that you just did. In the old days when I used to use "Imron" or "Deltron", perfection was a must. Todays clear coted paints make life quite easy. I doubt That I will ever use a rattle can, but this is a very interesting concept for a small job. This one can also answers a lot of questions on this web sight about fuel proofing paint. This one can gives anyone the opportunity to do an excellent paint job out of a can. These clear coats can be used over virtually any rattle can paint. Buy the way. These parts have not yet been polished or sealed, so they are still quite dull. Compared to what they will look like when they get sealed. I really enjoy painting bikes. If I could do it for a living, I wouldn't mind at all. This color by the way is the same red that I put on my GPz1100, without the stripes. It is a Nissan based Pearl Read.

That's quite a paintjob on that tank. How long did it take to paint the picture of the guy in sandals with the camera, the van, and the rest of the street scene detail on it? :)

Since I had shorts on, I am just happy that nothing was hanging out.
