my buddy calls me last week and tells me he got one of my other z1r fairings painted.finally,it's been a four or five year project.we all know how those buddy deals go right?
well anyways i start looking at gustafsson plastics(nice stuff, affordable, available) www.bikescreen.com for a new windscreen.they got about whatever you could wan't for a hundred bucks.
well this evening i am lookin through a walnecks classic cycle, and spot this advertisement for aftermarket z1r fairings from www.phillittleracing.com . the same guy that used to own omar's dirt track racing.he sells the fairing and windscreen and mounting kit for $295.00 and says they are nicer than the factory ones.here is a picture of one.

and another

oh yes,the dash.
i have two z1r's(a 1980 and a 1978)and one good dash.i have thought about going to a guy i know who build's cobra kit cars and seeing if he could pull a mold off of the good dash that i have.then it would be real easy to lay one up in carbon fiber,or glass.hmm.
but hey i can remember when you couldn't even find fairings, and seat rails.surely someone will repop em before long.

I rely love the picture (as far as CAD pictures go) now let's see a picture of the real thing. I am always very skeptical when it comes to computer renditions of items.

I don't think they're a rendered pictures. Looks like they photoshopped out the background but from the refractions and imperfections I'd say the subject is real. I do a lot of renderings from sketch to somewhat high end and IMHO these objects look to be real.

If- In-fact, they are real than they are beautiful. I have some experience with the Airtech fairings and they are nice also, as long as you get the copy. If you get one of the modifications, like the GPZ fairing with the round headlight it is horrible. It looks like someone took a hatchet to the headlight bucket portion of it.

here is the inside picture. The thing about these is that they are two-bucks-and-a-quarter and the windshield is another buck.
