Whoever did that weld did not know how to do a frame tube weld.  When properly done you cannot tell it was welded.  The frame should be cut at the fracture, heated to red hot and put back together, then welded, ground and painted.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I found a shop in Austin, Limey Bikes that will check out the frame and correct the previous damage. I'll repost when the work is completed. Sirocco great job,

Found a custom shop to weld the frame. Looks solid..cost 2X what I thought but work looks great. Will begin the restoration process. May sell eventually or keep it.
