No joy at all in searching all the usual places. If anyone runs across one please share ...

Did they make this bike in Canada?

Kawasaki offered the 750-L1 thru L4 in other parts of the world. outside of N America they were probably marketed as Z750 instead of KZ750. ??? There was also the GT750 that had a similar tank, but I don't know how they were attached. I would check eebbaayy UK.

Does the bracket need to be that complicated? Some tanks are held in place by one bolt. others by just a rubber band.
Maybe you could mock up something out of thin sheet metal or thin aluminum, then see if you could get one made.

It is quite a clever ribbed metal pressing , thin and lightweight but strong enough to hold the tank on...much easier salvaged than fabricated.

OP if you find one I can forward it to you from uk.

He's been looking for a while, so easier found than fabbed is debatable. hee.

There appears to be a NOS one available at the Partssweden parts place in Sweden (see www.partssweden.se/1992-p7-z750/fuel-tank ). I bought parts from their predecessor before and was very pleased with my purchases and the price. You should ask them if the price shown (169) is stated in Swedish Krona or US Dollars. 169 Swedish Krona = about 19 US Dollars, so if it is in Swedish Krona it 's a good buy. Ed

It appears to be listed in Krona...buy this immediately as you might not see another NOS for quite some time. :)
