I believe some of the Gpz turbo owners use a certain model of Zx6 rim and get a wider tire that way. I want to say mid-90's Zx6R with a 5" rim width.
I was going to use Zx6E components (4.5" rear rim width) on my '83 Gpz750 but got a "bit" carried away.

Yes, it looks like a 83-85 ZX750A (GPz750) with a 80-82 KZ750 motor. I believe ZX750 motors actually said ZX750, not KZ750, but it's been a few years since I had one.
The ZX750A original motor required an offset sprocket. If that motor has a flat sprocket then you know it's not original.

Nope its a zx engine. Look at the clutch arm. Z650-Z750 has push rod clutch.

Looking again, I am fairly convinced it is an 85 GPz750. The 83 and 84 did not come factory with the Ninja 900 style front fender.....although I don't know exactly when Kawasaki switched that during GPz production. I don't think any 1100's had that fender in 83 - 84....although the 83 1100 I just bought has one for some strange reason.

After enlarging the pic it's easy to see the entire top end is GPz750 also. The corners of the fins on the block and head are cut instead of being rounded. And it has black Mikuni BS34 carbs.
