Some or all will come out as you pull things apart. If possible, take a picture of their location and orientation as you disassemble things. More than one bike owner has struggled trying to figure out where each spacer goes and which end of the spacer faces outboard. Ed

Just want to make 100% sure here. I went to put the hub damper back in and realized it could go in 2 different ways. See 92075 in the above link. There are 4 dead end slots and 4 open ended slots with little square "bridges" of rubber over them. I was 99.999% sure it was in the hub with the dead end slots around the hub fins rather than with the fins slid into those "bridged" slots. But it will also fit that way, and the more I look the less certain I am. Shoulda photographed it I know, but I wasn't expecting the shop to take longer than my short-term memory lasts to mount the damn wheel. I can't find a picture that shows the right way definitively

Here's a picture of a similar kz750 showing it with the bridges over the fins. But I'm not trusting an ebay picture by itself. You can see that the damper could be rotated slightly and the fins would fit in the non-bridged slots.

Ok, Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I got it figgered out. The fins on the COUPLING go into the non-bridged slots, just like I thought. The side of the damper with the bridges faces the the coupling. Then the fins on the HUB go into those slots with the bridges. This is consistent with the exploded diagram too. I'm confident this is right so I'm going to go install it that way (but I'll wait till tomorrow to ride)

(this means the damper in the KZ750 image is either on the coupler wrong, or they were designed differently)

Well I just put 12 miles on it so I must have done something right. Thanks for the help.

To elaborate on a point that most probably don't need elaborated (mostly for the diagramatically challenged, like me), at least on my 305 those square "bridges" on the damper actually have little square spots where they sit inside the coupler, so once you know that its easy to tell how to orient the damper. It can only go one way if you set those bridges on the squares.
