Shocks Z750 E1 (1980) suggestions
19 May 2014 11:18
Sad day today when I realized that one of my marzocchi stradas was beyond repair.
Really loved the way they looked
So what should i get instead? I have found stradas on ebay but the NOS are quite expensive and I don't want to take any chanses whith used items, may not be better than what I have.
I want my bike to look like a vintage racer, love the way stradas look whith black springs (mine where bad chrome so I am not shedding any tears over them)
but I know it must be something better out there, the shocks doesn't have to be vintage just look the part  .
One more thing, they must be equal or better performance than Marzocchi stradas.
Bring on the suggestions
pics would be nice
Best regards H

YSS shocks seem like one of the better values available.
RE302 - 340T -22(or 25)
I think the last two numbers reference the spring rate. $300 The adjustable damping version, next step up the range, is $500.
I'm going to pick up a set myself, just looking around for the best place to order.

The ones I've seen at the race track all have the piggyback on them. The G-Series

Race Tech is now making shocks. They start at about $600 and are rebuildable. These piggybacks will cost more!
Works also makes shocks for our older bikes starting at about $400.
Either of these will work well on your bike.

Thanks for all the input.
I have a question though.
Do anyone know the correct length on the rear shocks?
(I believe mine are longer than stock)
Trying to find a dealer in Europe for all of these shocks but so far no luck. (I want to skip import taxes and stuff)
Haven't decided on what shocks I want to use just yet, the YSS eco line was interesting but as said I have trouble finding a dealer that carries them inside the European union.
but please carry on, the more options the happier I will be
Thanks

Did you figure out which ones to buy? I've been looking at some from Hagon (they look the most like the originals I think). I wouldn't mind they were a bit longer though.

I love my Hagon shocks. I've had them for 7 years (about 12,000 miles) and they still look and work like they are new (picture below). Mine are #4 in the last picture near bottom of link.

If you contact Dave Quinn (see link) he will answer any questions and set the shocks up for your specific weight, riding style, etc. Ed

Those look great! You wouldn't happen to know a dealer inside the EU who would do the same?
