Replace the seals and measure the springs,if theyre still in spec reuse them if not replace them.
As for fork oil Ive had decent luck with 30w synthetic motor oil,I used to run 10/40 Valvoline in frontends to keep from bashing header tubes so easy in my younger days but Ive mellowed over the years! :woohoo:

Nessism,

I think i'm going to ditch the air. If all I Have to do is drop in the progressive springs and problem solved I'm all for it. Do I drain the fluid out then?
I think I misdiagnosed the stiction problem. I just have plain old leaks. I replaced the seals and not the bushings. I will rebuild the forks completely if I don't like the ride of the progresssives. I have a hunch I will like them though.
