The one extra iron I always found useful was about 6" long and had a right angle end to hook on the spoke. You raise the bead then hook the small iron to hold it and then work around using the long irons.

Of course what's really helpful is having a friend standing behind you saying "Are you almost done, I want to go riding before it gets dark." :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I guess that depends to some degree on whether or not your bike uses tubes. With your bike's tubeless tires there's not too much that can go wrong mounting them. For those of us with tubes there is the risk that the 17 year old part time helper at the bike shop who always get stuck with the crappy tasks will pinch a tube and damage it, but it won't actually go flat until you're zipping along at 90 mph. Since the part time kid won't be the one to land in the hospital he won't have as much at stake as the rider. For guys with tubes it's sort of like packing your own parachute. Ed

Suspending the bike, and removing and carrying wheels to the dealer, is not an issue;
but wrestling with the tires is at the top of my UCC list. :pinch:

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIf you can find someone who does them for $10 or $20, let him do it.
I have this stuff....

... but need a bead breaker... without one, no thanks... changing tires is hard.

I've never actually seen one of these in use - only youtube videos.

Ron, THANKS for that website! They have some interesting tools. I just bought new 24" tire irons as one of my arms is really bad and need the extra leverage. I also just bought a Venom tire ballancer, the quality of it is pretty good and has 4 bearings with CNC cones in case anyone wanted a review on it. I have read the Harbour Freight ballancers had issues with the cone rod (bending easy)and were not the best. I also use the spoke type ballancing weights. The led wheel weights are illegal now that everyone and their dog has gone green. I didn't realize it was such an issue.

I have more than 500 lbs of lead in my basement; in the past I used it in a 2-wheel drive pickup truck for winter traction. I guess my house is on the EPA "Hazardous Waste Site" list. I wonder if I can get federal funding for a clean-up project? I figure $2 -3 million should do it. :whistle: Ed

I drop them off have some beers and pick them up the next day. I hate changing dirt bike tires so much that I juts pay the shops to do it regardless of the bike type.
