Ebay tank

Does anyone know if this tank will fit my bike (1984 kz700). It has the same petcock and fuel gauge. The only thing that looks slightly different is that on my tank the top portion is smoothed out and this tank has a line down middle. I checked kawasaki parts cross reference but it doesnt say anything.

Be careful...that may be incorrectly listed. That is not a 750 tank, but rather a euro-edition 550 or a 440 tank...neither of which will fit on your frame.

What is wrong with your existing tank? Search eBay (GPz750) and you'll see two 1982 tanks which will fit your frame. Neither of them are in the best of shape...have patience, more will show up on eBay...as there is not much demand for them.

McDroid is probably correct that it is mislabeled & probably won't fit your KZ700.
From doing a google image search for 1984 Z550: ClassicBikersClub.com - Kawasaki GT550 .
I also found an expired UK-ebbaayy GT550 ad - the tank looks about the same & has the raised area on the top.
There was also a GT750. Both are non-US models.

i know a guy in washington state that was parting out a 750R1, ive bought a few parts from him for my bike. i just sent him a message to see if he still has the tank. the bike had 2400 miles on it when he wrecked it back in 82 or 83. if you lived in florida you could have my old one but it would be to strong a gas smell to ship since it still has gas in it.

Martin that tank looks so similar to my tank. I just dont wanna buy a 400 $ tank and find it dosent fit lol

If that's a GT550 tank, it probably won't fit. Does your tank have the ridges on the top?
I would ask the seller why he has it listed as being for a KZ750 L. But I think McDroid is right.
