Well since the temp is under 100 I figured Id put the stator cover and the straighted motor mounts back on. Get to looking at things and low and behold I bent the damn frame. A little back ground on that. I dumped the cluch with a passenger in late April and when it went up we bailed and it came down hard on the left side. Is this fixable or am I in need of a frame?

That bottom tube is not a big deal except whe you want to get the motor out but what else is damaged? Is the motor case cracked by the bottom motor mount? Very common with the damgage your showing.

I didnt see any cracks in the cases. All the trianglar motor mounts are tweeked. The bottom left bolt with the odd nut looks fine. The trouble Im having is that I cant get the motor over enough to insert the spacers at the back mount, left one is loose, right one is to tight to go in (clutch side). Can I bend the tube back and how can I force it and not bend the other side if Im pushing them apart? The tiangle mounts on the rear were the worst of all. What about the bolted mount on the bottom rear? Its real hard to see.

...you may not be getting any answers, because no one wants to be the bearer of bad new.

...one, a bent frame is a bad thing, no matter how little it's bent and not something you want to trust your life on.

...two, there's no easy way to unbend it as it sits. You'll only end up denting the tube you're prying on and end up making things even worse. Not to mention if you slip, you might damage the heart of the beast.

...two practical solutions. One, let a Pro straighten it the right way on a table. Two, check the For Sale section on this site, or scope out eBay for a used frame.

...there is a third solution, sell it as is to an unsuspecting sole. But, you probably wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

...don't get me wrong, I'm not making light of your situation with the last comment, I do feel your pain. I lent a friend a bike one time and it came back making left turns if you blinked and right turns you'd almost have to get off the bike and yank on the bars to get it to turn. Sorry, Dude.

Well to bend it back I would think I need measurements from a few areas, that is what Id prefer to do. Ill have to pull the motor again damn it
Im curious as to how much for the frame and is it titled?

Does it track right? Like Roy said run it if it tracks straight. Have someone follow you to see if its doglegged while you are riding it. If you want it perfect as can be then strip her down and build a jig of some sort and see what you can do. There are write ups on frame building that may give you some ides as far as centering front stem to swing arm etc.

I have not had it running since the day I F ed it up Stator cover was alittle crushed and Leaking oil. I still have to straighten a couple of motor mounts. Problem is that the rear mounts by the battery box, the spacers left side has 1/16+ room and the right is tight where as I cant install it. It will go if I force it (pry bar). Ive only worked on it on Sat. to put the new stator cover back on and noticed that the frame is touching the crank case.
Damn hot wheather dont help either. Is there a link to the frame write ups you mentioned
Thanks

Frames and titles are not expensive. There is probably a couple of members that have frames for sale.

If the motor mounts are not lining up I would not try and fix it. Roy
