Anyone try the $50 530 Ebay x-ring chain?

While pricing parts for my 82 gpz 750 I stumbled across a 50 dollar 530, 120 link, gold colored, x ring chain. Does anyone have any experience with those? I understand I'll have to cut it down to size.

Beats the Diamond Chain 50 series, in the 10 foot lenght.

Don't use the cheap 60! I broke one off them, when I tried to hole shot it! Would up with a chain in pieces' and a bent clutch pushrod!!

Cheap chain... low tensile strength of just 8200lbs/foot. They don't give the telling piece of info - where it is made... It is probably manufactured in China. Most quality 530 chain has tensile strength over 9000. Ask them where it is made and who makes the chain.

Get your x-ring chains from the man above ^^^^. Jeff has the RK x-ring and I'm getting 35,000 miles out of them on my 650.

That ebay chain might be ok for a small engine bike, like a 250, I sure wouldn't put one on a gpz 750.

I know Z1 has quality products, as my fixer upper has its second Z1 part in the mail. My question is meant for those with experience with the ebay chain. I typically don't like to go the cheapest route, but the price of parts tends to add up when you buy a $500, non-op, friend of a friend special that at this point still needs new tires in addition to sprockets and a chain.

When it comes to brakes, tires, chains, bearings, I don't f' around. Those are the things that keep me alive. Everything else comes afterwards. Just my opinion. Hope someone who has tried the chain can chime in and help you out.

Did anyone else notice the word "spare" in the description? When I think of spares (like spare tires), I think of something to get me home to fix the issue/replace the part. Kind of interesting to label it as a "spare"...

Since there are a few questions about this chain and no one has any experience with it, I'm going to go with Z1 Enterprises. As usual.

I have tried a lot of chains over the years and have concluded, when you buy a chain you get what you pay for.

I converted my old 630 chain to 530 on my Z1 and it was a bargain at 145.00 including both sprockets! Some things you don't cheap out on and dealing with Z1 Enterprises only makes it that much more comforting.
Good luck David
