Lets play help me figure out what this bolt is?

I found this bolt today on the sidewalk near where I park my bike. I took a look at the bike and couldn't see where it is from but it sure looks like it's probably from my bike. My bike is 1980 Kawasaki 750 LTD. Can anyone help me out with where it goes? Assuming it is from my bike. Thanks all.

Check your centerstand. Looks like a pivot bolt to me.

Thanks for the quick reply. Doesn't look like its from the center stand unless I can't see where it attaches.

Rear brake master mount or front caliper mount?

Was your clutch lever laying next to it?

hmm shoulder bolt, maybeholds one of the front foot pegs on , goes thru the rubber mounts?

What size bolt is it? Something familiar in the picture to give it scale might help.

The bolt is about 2" long, the part where the thread is is about 1/2" long. Its a 14 or 15mm size bolt.

I guess as long as its not an engine mount bolt or something important it should be OK to ride. I would like to figure out what it is though.:S

I wouldnt ride till i found out where it went and too me it looks like a brake bolt a shock bolt hell it looks important so dont ride

Doesn't look like your bike has the shoulder bolts for the center stand like a 1000. According to the parts book, it should have a long pin with a cotter key through one end to hold the center stand in place. I would make double sure it isn't that however. You sure wouldn't want to run over your center stand when it decides to cut loose.

I can't think of a better reason to do a good TCLOCK inspection before you hit the road. Nothing like having a little doubt creeping into your mind when you hear a creak, pop, squeek, etc to ruin a ride.
