The easiest fix is to bend a "L" shaped piece of metal and drill a hole in it and bolt it to the passenger foot peg. Roy

When it was stock, it hit the bottom exhaust pipe. It had a rubber grommet.

My father showed me a trick when putting on the spring. Put the spring in a vice and rock the spring back and fourth slipping pennies between the coils until the spring is long enough to put over both holders. Then using vice grips pull the pennies out of the coils. Worked like a charm. Sorry for the hijack. Just thought it was neat and would have never thought of it. Back to the movie! ;)

Just get rid of it.

You can slide it up under the bike and throw a rod through the holes when you need to use it in the garage or whatever.

Shed some pounds!

Never thought of doing that! I'll definitely remember this one. Thanks for posting this!

Sure it looks OK now, but wait until I really make it pretty, with some chrome and paint and some new tires and grips and the wiring. Don't forget the gearing, and the LED's and, and, and....

Plug and play center stands are OK for sure and to those looking to make it light they are a bonus but a center stand is certainly a handy thing. Had a plug and play on a 900 LTD for a little while and more than once grumbled at having to get down there and plug it in. Yeppers! Just a lazyass comment but when it's 90+ out and I want to lube or clean a chain or check my back tire out or put air in the tire they make it a lot easier. I don't much care for bikes without center stands or kick starters. It's just me.

Just FYI your 900ltd didn't come from the factory with center stand brackets. If it were a true 900ltd frame someone must have added the brackets.
