Coil-over rear shocks

Hey guys,

What options exist for dual coil-over rear shocks? I'd keep the stock mounting points (swingarm included), I'm just a sucker for the look.

Swedish Gold (i.e. Ohlins), KYB, Works Performance.... any others?

Progressives are a good product, and reasonbly priced.

Hagons are another good deal too.

Ikon are high quality, they are Koni reproductions that are still being manufactured.

Race Tech has some high end twin shocks that they sell.

Yep. Good eye. ;) I plan on testing the ride as is and see if I like them, if I dont then Ill send them to be revalved/resprung. The sled and bike weigh about the same, and I realize the sled has IFS and the bike has a dual shock swingarm. I have a GS1100 swingarm I jut won on ebay and Im going to have to weld some tabs on it to run these. Ill make all the changes when everything is apart.

I have a set on the bike in my avatar pic. I think that we discussed this on here before. They have very firm damping, but the ride is acceptable. I have them on a 550, so on your heavier bike, and with a longer swingarm, they will probably be closer to correct.

Ooohhh interesting call with the snowmobile shocks! I hadn't thought of that one. I know Ohlins makes 2 versions for our bikes, I think the cheaper of the two runs about $700 for the pair.

Gotta admit though, while they are mad expensive, they look downright sexy.

I really like my Progressive rear shocks. You sure can spend a fortune on shocks, theirs were reasonable and work very well.

I think that they are from a '00 Yamaha SRX. There is a part number on them, but I dont have access to them at the moment. I've bought two set off Ebay.
