Anyone here run 39/19 sprockets on their 650? Gear commander says 5th gear would be pretty intense with that ratio.. I wonder what the MPG would be with that though.

I'm in the market for a new chain, figured with it I'd play around with a different sprocket ratio. Might try this out if the reports are good..

Tried this again and got better results....
entered KZ and got a 650, entered data for 78 KZ650 D--- Tire size, gears and sprockets and results for "current" were close ( to what were getting now) and "custom" got me where i wanted to be 5950 rpm at 81mph +-.Great link!!!! (if you use it right)
46/18 will be my final or "custom" sprocket sizes...
got it ordered--
Now I hope it gets here in time to get it on before we head to Tulsa next week.
Any thoughts on what i should look for by not running a "CUSH" drive???
A little worried about this and any input, or thoughts would be great!!

Probably a lot worse than you would think.
