RFY shocks (piggyback) on ebay, they sure look good as well as the price but I am worried about the quality.Has anyone tried them? I would think they would be better than 30 year old stock shocks for the kz.

the only ones that i seen said that they would work up to a 500cc bike.

for the price it would almost be worth tryin em out.

i remeber reading in a forum a while back about these types of ebay piggyback shocks. The guy dismantled them and tested/inspected the parts. Basically he said sure they look good on the outside but were typical chinese crap on the inside....no technical support either.
Maybe thats why they sell them as MOPED shocks.....I wouldnt use them...but thats my 2 cents.

I trend to be in the you get what you pay for camp when it comes to suspension. I just put a set of progressives from Z1E on my bike and absolutely love them.

You'd be in Nirvana with a set of Works shocks then, and be crapping your pants with joy over a set of Ohlins

Me too.

I'd love to have a set of Ohlins but they're a bit out of my budget

quick update got the rfy (ebay) shocks on the bike, they actually look and feel like decent, but low and behold I did a wheelie and bent the license plate all to crap, so I tightened up the adjusting stiffener nut which firmed things up.I haven't tried with a passenger as of yet but for a 170lb guy they are working for me.They were cheap and look quite smart hopefully they last(no tech support).Opinions will obviously vary on these particular shocks, as I am still undecided.Time will tell.

Nice looking bike, like the stance. Couldn't help but notice, no rear brakes? More nerve than me or couldn't wait to see the shocks mounted?
