Non stock sprockets are always pricey. That's what gripes me about my 750 twin: it drives and cruises much better with a higher drive gear ratio. It comes stock with 16/38, but runs a lot better geared about 16/33. Problem is finding a 33T rear sprocket. There are tons of LARGER rears out there, but to get a smaller one you have to go to sprocket specialists and get one. They are aluminum and with hardening and all they price out at about $100. And they DEFINITELY don't last the life of the bike.

33t (630) rear is a standard sprocket. I have been running one for years on my KZ900

I just looked and I also have a 32t rear sprocket that I had on my GPz1150 for about one week before I changed to a 530 chain/sprocket setup. The 33/15 ratio was stock on the 77/78 KZ1000 so they are easy to find.

Except my bike uses the 530 chain.

Than go to a 17/34 or an 18/36. I'm positive the bit larger front sprocket will fit on the bike. You just want a ratio of .484848 (.5) or just a bit more than 2:1

The stock rear sprocket is a 38T in 530. Nobody makes s smaller one as a standard product. I am currently running the front at 17T with rear 38T which is still a lot lower than I want. An 18T front will not fit on the engine. I sure wish they had left enough room for one because 18/38 would be about perfect.
