...I'll check my front calipers mounting bolts asap....

Sorry for resurrecting an old post. Finally, i found the origin of the clacking noise in my bike ('81 GPz1100). It wasn't something loose in the brakes as i was sure, but so in the two center headers; the inner pipe (you know, double walled headers) were loose, soldering was broke. Hope this could be useful for other guys.
