My H2 forks have been stolen!! was created by iroc355
well, not exactly stolen per say. i was borrowing them from my father in law for my bike. well he is now in need of them leaving me forkless!

My bike is a kz1000 dragbike, other posts of my chassis are on here.

Im having a hard time finding another set of H2 forks in good shape. So im wondering what oher options are out there that are a 36mm tube and about 29-31 inches in length?

I've heard kz650 forks are an option?

KZ 650 forks are 36 mm and measures 74.5 mm/29.33" (at least on my B1) from axle center to the top of the inner tube (not counting the cap) so yeah, they might be an option.

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

78-80 KZ750 twin forks are 36mm and 1" longer than 650 forks, same as 77-80 KZ1000A

U.S.D forks have always been in the corner of my mind, but i dont find it to be necessary for as dragbike.

if i venture into building a street bike up that would definatly be on the list.

What H2 forks?

I have a couple of sets of KZ750H forks. One or both sets are from an 82 model.

As was mentioned, some KZ750-fours are also 36mm, and some KZ550's are also 36mm.

I was amazed to find that Kawasaki went to 35mm forks for the GPz550 unitrack, I figured they would have gone up in size to the 37mm of the GPz750, not down.

IDK what year forks you have, but if you look up the Model on Kawi parts microfiche you can see what other bikes use the same fork seal. That will narrow down the diameter. There may be other bikes that use the same tubes/legs.

All these bikes use the same fork seal 92049-1216:

Yeah, I was stunned by that too. They increased the wall thickness when they went to smaller OD, therefore the ID is smaller, and the springs and internal parts are much smaller.

On my 36mm 550 forks, I end up using 750 springs.

There are a lot of errors on the Kawasaki cross-reference parts lists. Double check the actual fiche before ordering anything.
