LONGest USD forks- help make a resource PLZ

i found the zx9's to be the longest also. 1994 to 97 are 30 1/4"
kz = 30 3/4"
zx12 = 29"

i also modified the zx9 top tree to gain another 3/4" and run the forks down 1/4" into the top tree to again an inch total.
That makes my forks 1/2" longer than the KZ's, but u still loose some with the smaller wheel.
this pic shows how much i was able to lower the top tree after the mod.

I was going to use a CBR 929 upper triple as it is a gulwing style...should gain around 1" in length from this mod.

when u have the 929 triple, could u post the specs.it would be interesting to know if any of the longer forks had the same diam. this could be a bid plus.

I had a set of 929 forks on my KZ750K2, the top clamp is for 50mm tubes. As for offset and width I cant remember off hand, but I sold this 929 set of forks and they ended up on my friends 68 Norton Comanndo, I'll take some measurements off them sometime over the next few days. May have to use both the upper and lower clamps off the 929 if the offset/widths are incompatible with the ZX stuff.

Heres where they ended up...929 complete front, Katana 600 rear wheel/disk/caliper, Herb Becker built engine etc. Its still in mid build in this pic.

i would appreciate the measurements from the 929 top and bot triple. do the forks have the same od at each triple? some of the zx forks are dif (zx12).

how bout super moto forks? or do they have to much play in them.

i just stumbled across a great chart.this should proove usefull. it should go in the arcives and be kept up to date. if u can add to it tell the guys over here as well.
