Both of you have disposable power-trains at hand. For $2500.00 you could do something like this. Obviously you could move up or down in Classes like Pro-Stock/Pro-Mod/Funny-Bike with the first option. Or just slide a motor in it for fun, and run 8's all day.

PRO STOCK $2500

* Frame construction is NHRA spec. (1-1/8 .058 wall 4130)
* 70 inch wheelbase
* 26 or 28 inch tire
* Kawasaki or Suzuki all mounts and tin works completed
* Lightweight wheelie bars included
* Fuel tank built-in (1 qt. stainless steel)
* Set up to customer specifications

OR

SPORTSMAN $1,800 (small tire)
$2,000 (car tire)

* Designed for ET or Heads Up racing
* 70 inch wheelbase
* Lightweight and stronger when compared to conversion chassis
* Includes motor mounts and tin work
* Lightweight wheelie bars included

It use to be $500.00 deposit, and in 6-8 weeks you show up with Balance Due and pick-up your Chassis.

Pfffff.... You make things so difficult. First of all you don't "explain" anything unless she discovers it. Then you TELL her, YOU are the the King, and the "King" has spoken. And then finish it off with.... End of the conversation. B)

Nice bike Tim,is that a ZX 7 or 9 body- I'm too old to recognize stuff that new...

The $ 4000 1500cc. bike is a hell of a deal & has been up on db.com before. Lots of great bargains out there with the economy in the tank and folks getting out.The small tire bike is a nice piece too -Pearson doesn't sell any junk but it's a little high $ for the times.It's been listed a couple of times with no takers as well.

Tim and I are having technical difficulties- we're both too old to know how to get around the Barracuda filter at his email addy, so bear with us as I post some pics of the fork mods he'll need for the GPZ tranny/KZ cases in his new bike...

Width of machined surface between forks: .900
Machined area between forks is now .165 thick, non machined fork body is .180

The KZ fork has to be machined to clear the larger diameter GPZ gears in KZ cases.

i definitly heard that brother one other to way to look at it is your buying someone else's headaches but i'm willing to take a chance.besides this bike is a big time winner up here so i'm planning on adding to it's totals.the guy i'm buying it from is a multi time track and divisional champ with this bike so it has a good pedigree. the only reason he's getting rid of it is because he's stepping up to a complete pro- mod set-up. i don't think this frame could handle 600 + horsepower on a regular basis.
