what do I look for in replacement shocks?

I am looking to get replacement shocks for my bike. Since I plan to one day do a swingarm conversion, I am hoping to not spend a heap of money on em. There is lots of stuff on fleabay.

Is getting a set of shocks that have a similar eye to eye dimension with bushings in good shape all I need to look for? I assume if I get shocks off of a similarly sized bike as mine I'm okay?

I've heard that there is a lot of Harley take off shocks (new) that work well with the right dimensions on ebay? :)

Yeah, there's lots for decent prices. Have you tried out a set or heard of anyone trying them?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationSprings might be stiffer than desired.
Be mindful of eye to eye distance needed.

You need to get the correct spring rate which your bike was designed for. If you just get stiff shocks, they will break your back.

I tried the harley shocks, the springs were way to stiff. Are the S&W decent shocks?
