I just got my new wheel bearings in the mail, they are from Z1...the "all balls" with the blue seals. The bearings seem to feel packed with grease, I am just making sure that they are and that I can install them as they are...anybody know?

Jeff would be the best one to answer of course... Same time, if you know what grease they're packed with, re-pack some more into them.... I can;t think it would hurt them any if using the same grease...

Maybe I'm wrong....

I just don't know how to remove the seals...I would likely damage them cause I'm a tard. I guess I will pm mr. escobar

Remove the seals  ... No-no big man.... DO NOT MESS WITH THE SEALS THEMSELVES.... Now repeat after me, leave them alone.... :S

Slab some grease in the palm, press the bearing firmly into your greased palm over and over... Rotate and repeat on both sides... The grease will find it's way in there, not worry about that.... ;)

BTW... I'm fairly confident they're pre packed bearings....

Better safe then sorry on your true first build....

Damn, I was bugging the hell out of Plum and Larry so many times, had to be killing them  , with questions and in the need to educate my brain and thought process...

Plum still busts my balls with... "Hell, you manually rotated that engine so many freaking revolutions that is was already broke in before you even started it"...

Larry e-mail screamed... "Will you go start that sonsabitch already and go for a ride"....

Yeah, I tend to over analyze things.... Just the way my brain is wired...

Oh well, at least I didn't put a valve through my piston..... :S

Just got confirmation that the bearings are gtg. I have turned my motor over hundreds of times too...until the day that it starts up and I ride away on it the first time I am going to be paranoid and worried. The biggest thing I am worried about is that I will go over everything 10 times, and everything will be good except for one stupid thing that will cause catastrophic failure...if that is the case then get ready for some hot deals on some new bike parts!

Dont be so paranoid. You are asking the right questions and since you did it yourself be confident in your abilities. Now if you bored it out in the back yard with a ball hone then I might be questioning myself but if you farm out what you are not capable of doing because of not having the right tools then all is good. If you get real paranoid you will set yourself up for failure.

As long as you honed it thats fine. My brother actually "bored" a cylinder with a ball hone, Thats alot of honing and is not the way to do it

To late Kaw for he's already out in the garage with a spot light, magnifying glass, depth dial & caliper examining the cylinder wall scoring... :S
