I have the same 1000ST as RON. Awesome highway bikes. Lots of power. They are sturdy and heavy, so good for the h-way and not pushed around by x-winds. Did I say heavy?

I through a viper fairing I bought off of ebay on mine and it really helped with buffeting crusing at 90 MPH.

I paid a pile of loot for mine, but I love it all the same.

If you are in Alberta and are interested in a bike that looks 90 % as good as Ron's PM me and we can meet up.

I have 3 old kaws now and am looking at buying a new crotch rocket....dont ask me why.

Gee, TB33 I just Googled where you live. Man you're like 112 km's North of Grande Prairie and maybe 860 km North of Calgary! So, do you have a lot of time on your hands during the looooong winters to work on your bikes or what?

Sorry, couldn't resist. :P

Best of success. :)

Buy it Dude,You won't regret it .I bought mine three years ago and it is by far the best & most fun bike I have ever owned.I redid mine completlly for about 5K ,the Motor everything. And this bike gets more looks than any other ride out there.I am the President of a club here in Montreal and all the other members have much newer bikes and they ride hard and I'm up there right beside them kicking it and having a blast on a 32 Year Old bike,I have taken it on long trips to Laconia,NH and parts of Canada, I have had it on the track for road race on open track days and have drag raced it at ICAR here in Montreal and ran a respectable 12.19 which freaked everyone out seeing as I weigh 350 lbs.(NO BULL-Who says you can't drag a Shaftie.)Thats almost 1000lbs Me and the Machine and definetly the toughest bike I have ever owned and reliable.I love this bike it truly is a legend.
