was there any difference between frames? i have an 82 kz1000 and i think its a csr (hard to tell since i bought it completely taken apart) but it has those large plates for pass foot pegs, mag wheels, and dumb handlebars. but basically i wanna make it look like the older 1000's that have that stylish rear fairing "duck-tailed" i guess. any input would be awesome

I get a kick out of the LTD. If it is truly limited, that means to me limited edition, aka, offered for a short time or in limited numbers... But, for every 10 KZ's I see, 9.6 of them are LTD's. I've seen a handful of spectres and a couple CSR's, but I rarely every see a standard or GPz around Wisconsin and Iowa.

dont know about you staff sergent, but your meaning of spoke wheels r rims with those chrome stems from rim to axle, my 83 csr has mag wheels. the Roadster that harley came out with, was always a favorite of mine from hardley dickerson. oops, starting to go down hill.

Do you know if the 83 KZ1100 A2 and the Spectre D2 share the same frame? I have both. the A2 is not running and is my next project. From what I can tell every part of the base frame is exactly the same and the components interchange. I cannot tell if the steering head is different but I do know that the forks are different (obviously not part of the frame though).

CSR has no meaning. Matchless applied the term to various models, including a G12 CSR (650cc). There was a Kawasaki 650-CSR.
