Well, I'm somewhat new to air compressors and have not seen a rubber tip like that! Looks like it threads right on to the end of the gun, thanks I should be able to find one today.

Try the grease gun fitting and you won't have to try and grab anything risking damage to the piston! This also works the same on calipers as it is the same size. I almost wore a caliper piston and the thought of it landing on top of my tank in the shop almost made me mess myself.This also saves soaking time, you know, that rare commodity that could be used for other things.
