Ive got a set of Bridgestone Spitfires and Im happy with them. I ordered them from ron ayers for cheap.

Are you sure you're not running over pieces of gravel? That has the same effect your talking about. I use the Bridgestone S-11 Spitfires on my KZ750.

Spitfires on Mine too, 100/90 front, 130/80 rear. That is The MAX sizes on a stock swingarm and rims ( alloy).

I to run the Spitfires with the raised white letters. I like the Avons though and will probably try those next. The raised white letter tires are getting harder to find but look better in my opinion.

I have thought about that, but I go over the same areas quite frequently and they are both pretty clean.

RWL Spitfires here. I'm happy but I don't push it either. Have never felt a lack of confidence in them even at high speed. Reasonably priced too.
