Well Elira I can tell you to be quite honest you don't want to chrome your engine pieces. Chrome keeps in the heat. Not good on aircooled engine. Don't go and gypsy the bike you won't be happy with the end results. It's incredibly easy to polish aluminum to look like chrome only much better....IT NEVER PITS. When you wash it if you clean and wax it you won't have any problems with it fading after. Guarantee chroming is more expensive and most likely after two years of winter cold it will pit and flake. People will tell you that if you get it done right it won't. Don't fall for that banana up your tailpipe. Check out Cro Dogs bike in the z1 900 gallery. Nothing on that bike is chrome cept the pieces that came chrome from the factory. If you don't think that is shiny enough for you then gold plating is another option.
As far as a tank. I have two small ltd tanks. One that is black paint is a year old and all you would have to do is get the new decal to put on it and the other is exactly the same tank you have only in much nicer condition. You can pm me with the details. I even have the exhaust from it that still looks like new. PM me if you are interested.
I even have two sets of stock ltd bars and maybe a super bike bar still I think.
