haha yeah, but cnc is awesome! perhaps I'll have the guys at school water jet them though, less work for me that way :woohoo:

Not necessarily for the corner-carvers, but they used to widen wheels only on the right side to fit wider tires so they could use mild offset front sprokets. They did this for years til the newer sportbikes came out with factory wide rims. They never seemed to have a problem with them either. I have seen the frame cut and a piece of channel iron welded in place to allow the chain to pass through, frame heated up and smashed, frame spread apart with a hydraulic jack after being heated, frame just beat til enough clearance was made, a 5/8 offset used and then anymore room needed was machined off rear wheel and/or sprocket carrier, and just off set the rear wheel by whatever is needed after using the 5/8 offset front sprocket. Have been told the rear tire being offset some won't hurt and you wouldn't be able to tell...Guess it comes down to what you can/will do to make it work. More then one way to skin that cat!
