Frame sliders was created by Darkangel
Ok...i really would like to turn my bike into something worthy of road racing...but it is not a crotch rocket....i would like to put some frame sliders on to keep the engine and gas tank from being jacked up in a layover....is that possible.

A set off the case savers(like small crash bars) will prevent case damage and a lot of $$$$$$$$$ for repairs.

I suppose the sliders could be adapted from a new sport bike with some new custom made mounting clamps. Do you have any friends in a mechanical design line of work? They might be able to draw up something a machine shop could make.

If you plan on leaning the bike over, the case savers are a waste of time. You will lose any speed you have slowing down so you won't drag them.

There is a company in Europe, and unfortunately I can't remember who at the moment, but they make frame sliders for the O/C Bandit 1200's that mount on the front lower engine mount and are braced to the right side pickup cover. They're really trick. I'll see if I can't dig up a pic.

Later, Doug

EDIT: Looks like LSL makes some similar to the ones I saw. Maybe these will give you an idea or how to make something.

Now...something like that...is very smart....maybe i could just build something very close to that..Because i would like corner harder, but the side are out way to much...plus...this sucker is not built for hard cornering...
