where to get a spoked wheel strung?

an akront is all i know
but the prob would be that its going on a drum brake so i guess i could run into some problems eh.

You have to be careful. The diameter of the hub dictates the angle the holes are drilled in the rim. The larger the hub, the more acute the angle. You want to make sure the rim is compatible with the hub. Using a wheel from a rear disk bike on a drum hub causes the spokes to bend coming out of the nipple...


Shoot I didn't think of that. I picked up a 18 inch rear rim off of a kz400 that I'm going to try and use for the front of my bike. I hope it will work. As soon as I get it I need to have it coated and then sent off to Buchanons for spokes and lacing. I guess I'll have to wait to see if they call me and say they can't do it. Good thing I have my 19 inch stocker coated and ready to go. ;)
