It looks a bit cluttered to me but maybe its still in progress? You can fit modern rearsets from a r1 or gsxr without drilling the frame and they will look cleaner and may be more functional and feel better. Just a thought. On my 1000 i am running R1 rearsets and just had to make a small bracket to fit. They can be removed and the stock ones can be refitted. Just a thought.

i'm sure most folks with the big fours(900-1000) allready know this trick for rear sets....but....you can take the foot peg brakets off the frame and flip them over and reverse the left and right sides and re-install em upside down on the other sides of the frame...then pull the pins that hold the pegs and flip the pegs over and put the pins back in so the peg will fold the right way again...i got a shorter shift lever....and i have long feet....the only dif is i look like rossi setting up for a down shift into the corners,,,as i have to flip my foot off and do my clicks down....i also have to shift to my heel on the peg to rear brake....i've been setting mine up like this all my life ...so i don't notice the stretch anymore..and i get to tuck my feet up and back alot more....anyone ever seen this method???? i can send a pic if anyone is interested...takes ten minutes and works just like tarrozis for 0 $...coolio

Flipping the mounts from side to side (left to right) works on the 650s as well, the ones that use the two bolt mounted pegs.
The one bolt mounted pegs of the early 650 wont swap like that. :(

can you post a picture?ive thought about that for my current retro hotrod since i need to remount my current rear master cylinder differantly anyway due to swingarm clearance issues .i like the sportbike stuff but it just doesnt work for my current project.

here i am trying to post a pic of the set-up...it really gives you a motogp feel(lol) but really it does ..i ride on the balls of my feet anyway when i have this set-up...makes normal pegs feel like floor boards on a cop bike...if a guy can cut and weld the shifter and brakes to come up and shorter...than buying rearsets aftermarket is only for the look ..cuase these are better.....

and here is a shot of what the bike looks like...the stock pegs allmost look normal untill you relize that they are way up and back from where thay should be.....i love em and gotta do some cutting and welding someday on the levers...but am used to em now so i don't care....function over fashion every time....peace craig

and one more shot showing the shifter side and the upside down peg mounts ..this is the tighter of the two sides and if your grometts are brand new and tight...you gotta take a block of wood and tap the peg mount over the frame bolts ...becuase there is a really tight fit next to the swingarm nut...but once you get it started they DO fit.....peace
