cafe racer mirrors was created by xstreamcanadian
I just got my mirrors in the mail, I bough Napolean brand(on the new Triumph Thruxton) and they mount in the bar end, very old school styling, they come in chrome or black and they were pretty reasonable. They have a rubber mount so they dont vibrate as much. I dont want to get in trouble again from the posting poilce so if anyone is looking for some check these out. they look sweet when installed.

Do they fit the 7/8 bars? And what was the shipping cost?

these were very cheap shipped right to my door, i think the total was around 70 canadian for two, they arent like the cheap sh#* you see on ebay most times. They come with a rubber mount that allows them to be tightened right up and not vibrate at all. (apparently) if you check the brand new triumphs they use these mirrors as well. Yes I know ebay has a lot of stuff, but i was offering these up as a good value on a hard to source item that is of gauranteed quality, unlike some of the ebay stuff.. just as an FYI. I also liked but couldnt afford the other bar end mirrors they had on the same site, more adjustable and they fold away for those of you who dont have a large garage opening to drive into....keepin it real one day at a time...

Personal attacks not tolerated.

i checked ebay, dont be fooled by the non rubber mounted vibrating cheap ones. They all say 'napolean style' which means they are the dollar store version. I can send pics to anyone who wants to see what they look like on a KZ. There is one mirror on there that is the same, but they are asking about 5 bucks more than buying it from a legitimate store, helluva deal!

I agree with X. I had the metal clippy kind and one fell out. Go for the rubber mount.

There's simple ways to make them work just as well.

I know guys running the ones without the factory rubber mount and then work just fine.

My brother runs the EMGOs (Napoleon style) on his GS1100 and likes them. I think they vibrate more, so I went for the actual Napoleons (the ones shown in the first hotlink). I got them off of ebay for a little less by the whole bidding route. I got one for $10 and the other for $15, but got nailed on shipping from separate vendors. Its 20 degrees here, so they are still sitting on my shelf.

Just curious about the "posting police" comments. What is up? I am a moderator and don't recall seeing anything you posted get policed... Kind of puts a damper on tech exchange to see these kind of comments...

In any case, I have some of the rubber mounted bar end mirrors made by Emgo on my barney bike (Carb test bike). They do vibrate SOME but you can see. They do have rubber mounts. The main disadvantage of a bar end mirror is that when you are bent over riding and get them positioned, you have to reposition when you sit back up... I tend to hunch over on the barney bike as it is somewhat sportier than my other carb test bike.

I have seen the Napoleon mirrors and they are DEFINITELY better quality than the Emgo but of course, cost a bit more. I will probably get Napoleon mirrors for my KZ1000E1 ST project bike (not bar end but normal mount).
