the Benelli 900sei's had a duplex final drive back in the early 80's. i know you can find duplex chain for industrial application, not sure if you can find motorcycle application anymore. they do look cool though.

Heres the twin row chains

www.azusaeng.com/chain/rollerchain/double.html

I beleive the sprockets take the 50(2) chains.
Tensile strength for the 50(2) is 12,200.
Tensile strength for the 530(single row 50) is 6,100.

That's the same company that used to make double-row sprocket kits years ago - that chain isn't very practical for a bike - very heavy, the tensile strength isn't very good (compared to good quality chain), and it's non o-ring.

I did remove one of these setups from a Z1 a few years ago - I wasn't very impressed with it.

Holly crapola!

What kind of chain to frame clearance was needed here!

I mean hell, we're having a hell of a time with greater than 1/2" offsets in our conversions and then you see this monster of a chain...

Interesting indeed.... Ok timebomb, you break this chain then duck!

my second z-1 had a gold painted nylon back sprokett and i would polish it all the time and did not know it was nylon till i changed it...i was 19 and i beat that bike hard for a long time with that sprockett... i remember finding out it was nylon all that time and thinkling wow that is kinda scary...i'd go 130 three -four times a week, do wheelies everyday and burnouts all the time with a nylon drive part....never ever seen another one till this thread...cool

i have one of those sprockets i pulled it off and put it to the side just because of the cool factor i ran that sprocket for almost 2 years on a bike i built and there is almost no wear on it i was impressed. and like all off my bikes i did tons of hard launches and burnouts and it held up to all that.
