Angling the tailsection has nothing to do with the seat. The seat stays where its always been. With the Corbin seats for the 900/1000's the fit leaves something to be desired. There is over a 1" gap between the tailsection and the seat. Moving the rear mounting bolts up ~1" helps close up the gap so you can't see the seat pan.

Aha! Thanks Doug! Guess I was particularly concerned with the blue bike pictured in the thread but on second inspection it's on a jack and might be visually more angled than reality. I kept getting a touch of vertigo looking at that angle. ;) :laugh:

I built a fender eliminator for one of my fleet of bikes not too long ago. I made the thing out of sheet aluminum and put an aftermarket tail light on the aluminum. The tail light has a plate bracket. It looks fine. I do recall that the wire colors for the tail light were strange. I would retain the inner fender... once you have slung a bunch of road crud up under the seat you will know why bwhahaha
