Tripple disk upgrade on my 74 Z1
23 Nov 2008 21:22
Ok, thanks to donthekawguy, i have a disk brake swingarmfrom a 78 1000, rear caliper, and one front caliper. The wheels i am using are the stock kawasaki Engie mags that i got for free. The wheels either came off of a ltd 1000 or Z1R. I need to know what year rear master cylinder and break pedal will work, and also should i get a beefier front master cylinder for the duals up front?

Running a bigger master cylinder for the front brake system is always the way to go. The stock size master cylinder will be over taxed to supply the fluid for the additional caliper and can lead to brake lock up and crash.

Should work well. While you're at it replace all brake lines with the SS braided ones as the stock rubber ones crack and swell with age.

I think I have both. I'll brave the cold when I get home and take a look.
