If I'm not mistaken those motor mount holes are bossed. And it could be like playin' Blackjack n' hitting on 20 with each hole being worth 10. You might get your ace but "I" ain't gonna do it!

I think those tubes go all the way through, and that's what we are talking about when we say "boss".
They help to reinforce the frame where it's been drilled.

Done right with quality welding it is stronger than before.

how about makeing a bracket to go from an existing hole down to where you need to attach the crash bar.
