Thanks Rage for the responce !!! Two years is all I hope to get out of a set of tires anyway .... sooooooo

Plenty of curvey road riding here in north central Ohio !!!

I do see a lot of heavy Harleys and even Sportys with flat tread Dunlops on 'em. 'eh ... for $150 bucks I can change 'em out every other year !!!!

dunlops a quality brand.my buddy runs 404s on his 84'V65 1100 sabre[hell of a sweet, fast bike].I think they discontinued 591s in vintage tube sizes...I loved my 591s.I'm running cheap DURO brand now[$50f/$60r],they look great.I just installed them, not sure how they'll perform.Allways run tires in sets for best results.

I have used many 404s on different bikes and I get about 8000 miles out of them , That is when I keep the bike that long , I have a set on my Cop bike with no problems at all slow or highway speeds .. I feel they are a good buy for the dollar ,I always figure 200.00 for tires mounted ,, Not many mount for free when you buy their tires anymore , You can spend more for tires But why if you are just an Easy Rider like most of us are .. Or is it a left over Hippy .. Either way you should be happy with your Purchase :) :)

Finnally I have my new Dunlops on !!!! My initial opinion of them is WOW !!!! 150% better than what I had on the bike. I've only put about 50 miles on 'em so far but those miles were on wet roads in heavy gusting winds. The bike felt planted and not skiterish .... maybe even confidense inspiring !!!! PLUS I think they look great too !!!! I believe I made a good choice.

I put 404's on my 750 twin last fall, then had to crank it (no choice) hard over on a corner and lost it when I grounded the footpeg and lifted the rear tire. Not the tires fault, tire can't do anything when it's no longer touching the road.

Been slowly working my way back to extreme lean angles since then (moved the foot pegs up and back), and they are sticking pretty good.

Keep in mind that I ride a 750 twin, so I'm not going to be stressing the tires to much powering out of a corner while leaned over :)

I've got a set of the D404's mounted on my ZN700 (similar body style as a 750 Vulcan, but LOTS more ground clearance), and after about 2K miles I'm pretty impressed with how well they perform and are wearing.

When I go riding with my cruiser buds, I flat out leave them in the dust when going through the twisties. Heck, I've even surprised a few crotch rockets in the corners.

Also check Chaparral for tires as I think they have the RWL spitfires as well and decent prices to boot. I picked up a set of IRC's today and only paid about 160 for the set. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll let you know how they handle.
