2 questions about fork disassembly

Ok I got the forks apart. I had to use a tent pole I had and bend it to a cone shape then I wrapped it with some duct tape. But now I wanted to know if I can use these longer fork tubes. Here are the pics. The forks tubes I have to use are 1 1/2in longer than the originals. And the lower forks are 1/2 shorter than the ones that came with the new fork tubes. Does any one think I will be ok?
