i don't know if this helps. my bike is a 1979 kz1000 LTD. the side stand is 10 3/8" long from the center of the mounting bolt to the far end of the stand, and sits 2" out from the swingarm (inside edge to inside edge). hope the pic works:

After looking at one of my parts bikes you do have a ltd kick stand on that bike.

appreciate the pics Goose....my stand is 11.5" from mount o/c to the tip and when retracted it is alot further out than 2" it's almost 4" at the tip. It looks like the wrong stand, it's bent, and the mount looks bent also. I think with the correct stand, a torch, and a small mallet, I can correct it.

Is the pivot bolt loose or worn out. that will cause it to lean. I just put a piece of wood under mine for for now till I can fix it, or fall, what ever happens first, ...... I was just kidding about the fall thing I would never let it hit the ground.
