No such thing as 'too much of an upgrade';)

You've received the appropriate front-end advice and the rear is 'do-able' as noted by hardrock68. I have honestly never even heard of your bike until this post, so finding someone who's "been there" and "done that" might end up being a pretty difficult find. But I don't think the actual work involved is going to be too intense, and maybe not even too expensive. The right machinist is the key.
